Hi Laura,

I appreciate this opportunity to share some samples of my work with you.

On this page, I'd like to talk about Gilda's Club (now known as Our Clubhouse). When this cancer support center first opened in Pittsburgh, the perception was that it was only for women. That was based primarily on the name--"Gilda" refers to comedian Gilda Radner who died of ovarian cancer in 1989.

The goal of this advertising campaign was to highlight the fact that everyone--men and women, black and white, young and old--were welcome at Gilda's Club.

I developed the concept, wrote the copy and worked directly with the photographer and designer. The red door was an essential part of the club's identity and so we incorporated it into the ads.
